Everything went great until we tried to return our vehicle at Union Station. Google said it was open until 10pm. After trying for 15 minutes to find the entrance due to heavy construction and no signage, we arrived at 9:45pm to find the Budget office closed. 9pm was the posted closing time. We were charged for an extra day. After 2 phone calls to Customer Service, the issue is still not resolved. The first time I called, I was told they would look at the video recording to verify our arrival time. This didn't happen. On the second call, the Budget CSR admitted they called the Manager at that location, who didn't look at the tapes, and took their word that we were late. They also told me the best they could do was take 50% off the late charge... for their incorrect information and failure to examine the evidence.

Easy. Pleasant. Good equipment. Very friendly. Was a long-time Enterprise customer until 1 week ago here at Union Station in D.C. Not again. I like these folks.

The staff here is incredibly kind and welcoming! They go above and beyond for their customers and I could not be more thankful for their great customer service!

Michelle, who helped me at the counter at this location was extremely helpful at not only helping me with picking up my rental, but also streamlined the process in which I would be able to drop it off at a location just a few blocks away from my house. I appreciate the quick service and courtesy I received at this location.

When I first saw several reviews regarding this branch of Budget rental car on google, I thought it was a joke with all the zero stars. However, I soon realized they weren't, and I became one of those customers who suffered their total lack of professionalism. For one, they have overbooked the car; by the time we arrived the car wasn't available. After waiting 30 minutes in a long line, a manager announced that they were getting back cars slowly, and would offer a compensation if we can "go have a breakfast or something." So we did, and took extra time so that they could prep the car for us. When we arrived, however, the manager was gone, and there was only one gentleman who was at the desk. When we explained the situation, he simply told us that we are not on a "waiting list". I assume they started the list after we left for breakfast, but he only wrote my name on the margin of the page and promised me that I would get the very next car available. Soon later I realized there were several people getting their cars, so I walked up and asked how long I have to wait. He refused to answer. This is when I started recording the conversation after I notified him, about 2.5 hours since we arrived. He seemed certain that we were just cutting in the line, different from what he promised. When I asked him twice more if I could know where on waiting list am I at - so that I can plan my schedule accordingly - he got very annoyed and just wrote my name at the very bottom of the list, telling me I will have to wait for an hour more, and simply left the booth. Thanks to another lady who was next to the gentleman who heard the whole conversation, we were able to get the very next car. The car was a smaller car than I booked for, and dirty, and 3 hours late from the original schedule, but we finally did end up getting away with a vehicle, promising myself never to rent a car from this branch. Oh, and I only got half of the promised refund for breakfast.
