I’ve flown in and out of this airport a couple times and I’ve never had any issues. Once we were delayed due to the cold weather but that’s to be expected in buffalo in January and we were on our way fairly quickly. The first time I ever flew I was 16 and I was going to Florida by myself but because I was nervous and it was my first time the security guards were kind enough to allow my uncle to sit by the gate with me until I boarded to make me more comfortable. Just another way buffalo lives up to its nickname “The City of Good Neighbors”. Friendly, fast, and efficient service. Overall a great place to fly in and out of.

As far as airports go, Buffalo’s is pretty great.  It’s got a decent number of gates, but it’s not so large that you have to race across the airport.  Security usually moves pretty quick with a minimal line/wait.  The check in counters are usually pretty quick as well, though at peak travel times it would still be smart to get there early.  The baggage claim area is functional if a bit slow, and it would be nice if the rentals were in the main building.  The drop off and pick up areas are covered.  The parking is the only downside, with a rather large and sprawling parking lot and cars that often get buried in the snow.  Only the “daily parking” is in a parking garage, and that’s quite expensive.  The preferred, long term and budget parking lots are a bit of a walk to the terminal.

It’s my hometown airport and I fly about 5-6 times a year. Single terminal, easy access to food and parking. TSA works well here and it’s possible to arrive 45 minutes before your flight if you do it off peak. Bright and clean. Parking can fill up, so leave some time for that.

Anchor Bar is always a favorite for anybody visiting Buffalo or that lives here. The restaurant in the airport is a pretty good place but does not capture the actual authentic taste of true buffalo wings. The wings seem to be soggy and dry at the same time ,depending on when you come. Although this is understandable with different Cooks it seems like every time I have been there they were this way so I can't rate this place pretty high.

I had no problem flying out of this airport. Getting through security was a breeze and the airport had a dedicated smoking section. It was outside but it was enclosed which you don't see in the states. Now only if it was heated.
