I had a few minutes before meeting a client, so I stopped in. It was perfect. A good cup of coffee, Quick Service, and a nice bar of chocolate.

Cafe Descartes is a wonderful addition to the lake street downtown area-- the owners did a beautiful job with the interior of such a tight space and the cafe is a wonderful place to park down for an hour or two with a book or a friend. There are many vegan options on the menu, and the owner made a dairy free version of their turtle mocha for me and it's probably one of the best lattes I've ever had.

The owners are nice and aim to please. It is very comfortable and quiet. I had a business meeting here. I stop in several days a week when in town.
