W O W!! This happened so many years ago. I was so hurt and offended by one of their employees I never went back. Being able to share this will be very healing for me. Thank you Cal-Med Pharmacy for this opportunity to heal. 

I'd been their customer for many, many years. They have all kinds of things to help you with your health needs, concerns and conditions!! The owner is very nice and always helpful. Before me, my parents went their, until that fateful day, I came across a compassionless clerk. I felt so unfairly mistreated that I wrote them a letter. Possibly two it was so long ago. Cal-Med Pharmacy never responded. I was so hurt, I never wanted to encounter this woman again for fear I'd be treated the same. Sorry cal med... I can't justify additional stars... 

Here's my story:

One day, long ago, I'd stepped in for some much needed diabetic needles. I was greeted by a lovely cashier who then said "We need a few minutes to prepare them. Would you like to wait or come back?" I had the time and I did need them. So I waited. While waiting for my diabetic needles, I shared small talk with the different customers coming and going in and out of the pharmacy trying to pass the time as I'm watching the line get longer and longer. So after about 30 min. A new face comes forward from behind where the pharmacists are working and asks, "Is there anyone here to pick up prescriptions?" I'd stood up but someone else raised their hand and voice faster and louder than I. So, what's a few more minutes. I had the time. I needed the needles. When they had finished, I then stepped forward and said "I'm here for pick up." When this particular clerk (I got the impression she was perhaps a wife of the owner, an office manager (probably why I never got a response to my letter, just guessing) not sure of her position) harshly told me where the back of the line began. What? It was like a punch straight to the heart! Being an Empath, I actually felt the stinging, sharp pain of her response resinate thru my chest. I also live with severe depression and anxiety (My problem) however her abrupt, sharp tone struck me off guard and took me by surprise. Not the type of person you want in the "Mental Health" industry. As I was trying to explain to her I'd been waiting for over 30 min. by now, when this clerk spoke the final words that ended our relationship forever more...

"We're all out of those needles." 😶 

What?!? I mentioned I needed the needles. S h e   d i d   n o t   c a r e. Complete Dead pan face. My God... Who turns down a diabetic in need of needles? Who could do that? It blew my mind. I must admit my failings as I became unhitched. I was told they were being prepared just 35 min ago. 

To the woman standing on my left, Thank you! I don't even know you and more than likely we will never meet. You helped me so much. One word, was all she gently said to me. It resinated like thunder. In a loving, caring, compassionate, supportive voice she simply whispered, "B r e a t h e". And with that... I left. No needles. I did mention I needed the needles.

So Dear Cal-Med Pharmacy, Really Cal-Med Pharmacy? On that day, I really needed the needles. Dumbfounded. And why would you not respond to my letter? Why couldn't we talk it out? Well... So many unanswered questions... so, so long ago.

To the unfulfilled woman I call "clerk", I force and project overwhelming love, compassion and healing over your entire being. I pray you are treated kindly by others. I pray you never have to endure the actions of another the way choose to treat me on that day. When you need mercy, I pray you will receive it in abundance. When you, your family and loved ones need protection, may the Angels lift you up from disspear and storm the gates of hell on your behalf. And lastly, "clerk", I release you. Learn to Love yourself. You'll be a better person. I promise! And then WE can make the world a healthier and better place for everyone.Thank you Cal-Med Pharmacy for serving  our community.

I am a Critical Care Nurse, we needed a medication for a patient and it was Urgent! They took the order Stat, it was in my hand in 20 minutes delivered! Pharmacist speaks in a clear voice, took the order, I didn't get put on hold or asked to repeat it over and over. Driver came in the cold and rain at night with a smile! 💖 Customer service at its

CalMed is the best local pharmacy.
Tired of waiting for CVS or Walgreen's to get what you need in stock?
Do the two big boys not have the brand you need/prefer?
CalMed has what you need, usually within 15 minutes or same day if not next day.
What most don't realize is they do a TON of residential care facility for the elderly(RCFE) business and are EXTREMELY BUSY in the back filling orders for their RCFE clients. Due to this, they have a HUGE supply of medications.
Since they are a local pharmacy they take much better care of their customers.
Experience the difference, I refuse to go to the monopolies of CVS and Walgreen's and their suppliers after going to CalMed.
The only thing they are missing is coffee while you wait :)
