My Mom who is almost 93 has been there about 2 weeks since having surgery for Therapy...what a joke!!  the first week they never even got her out of bed..they never dressed her. She's legally blind and has trouble with the call button...doesn't matter though, I've been there and pressed it  with not a nurse in sight for about a half hour....They put her top on her, and put her pants on, but they don't even pull them up when she's in bed because "it's easier" for them to change her....If I had POA over my mother, she would be out of there in a heartbeat.  She also has a bed sore on her bottom that I wanted to take a picture of for documentation and they wouldn't allow it...SMH  don't put your loved ones here.

Would not even give this place one star. WORST REHAB EVER. They will leave your loved ones in the middle of the night stranded when they need to use the bathroom. The chicken was YELLOW. The food is NOT edible. The aids only act nice when family is around. Once you leave they won't check on you, or come help you when you ring for them. 

WORST PART!! MY LOVED ONE WHO STAYED HERE JUST ASKED TO BE SENT BACK TO THE HOSPITAL TO THE  BECAUSE THIS REHAB WAS SO BAD. THEY COULD NOT GET HER BLOOD SUGAR RIGHT FOR DAYS ON END. 

THIS IS NOT A JOKE! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST REHAB I HAVE EVER SEEN

This place is hell on earth. Incompetent medical personnel. Pain mess withheld for hours, medications omitted causing withdrawal symptoms and despair. I was there twice this year 2016 one for each fusion. Complained about nurse first time when pain meds were withheld for hours. Next visit I lasted less than a day and a half. Same nurse gives me a b12 shot overhand like she was stabbing me in the shoulder. The needle broke, blood spatter everywhere. Reminded me of nurse Ratchett or the movie Misery. 
 The second night I check mt medication cup and see there is one pill, I have been on two sleep medications for many years due to Lyme, fibromyalgia and sleep disorder. I ask for the second pill and they tell me it's not in my chart, well dang it has been in my profile for 20 yrs. I can't sleep am experiencing electrical type impulses. This med is a benzodiazepine and MUST NEVER be stopped cold turkey. I used to be a pharmacy technician and knew this info. I get myself into wheelchair and get myself to desk weeping and asking for them to recheck my file and get me the medication. I go back to my room and am in such despair I call the police to tell them I do not feel safe.
    Police may have called front desk, not sure, because about a 1/2 hour later miraculously I get the right medication. While I re packed my things and was crying, one sweet therapist came to comfort me. The therapist are nice, but the nursing staff and social worker did not care. I left the next morning and was suppose to be there 10 days. No one told me I could have gone to another facility. While waiting for my paperwork the horrid mean nurse took my paperwork behind closed doors with who I thought was either a supervisor or social worker. My records were altered NO Doubt.  I pity the families who have loved ones there who cannot speak for themselves. I complained and was suppose to get a phone call back from social worker, she never called. Staff members encouraged me to complain about nurse both in February 2016 and again this past September.
     Home healthcare noticed I had a fever, wound from surgery healing nicely, BUT THE baseball size bruise from the b 12 shot was hot and inflamed. I give myself b 12 shots monthly and may have a small black and blue but nothing like what this nurse did to me. Evil woman who must have tenure. I even got a phone call from an independent company calling for a review on my stay with Cambridge. I gave her the lowdown and nada from this place. I would not trust them with a plant and would be surprised to see this review on their website!

What a poor impression on my 1st visit to Cambridge in Fairfield. The girl at the front desk had her back to me as I entered the facility and never turned around. I had to ask questions on room #, which way to go, she would have never turned around to tell me, when she finally did, she had a nasty attitude as if I was interrupting her doing nothing.  I hope no one else I know stays at Cambridge, I would never visit this place again. Very cold acting and low class receptionist.

Have had three elderly relatives at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield for a period of 3 to 6 weeks each, as well as several family friends, over the past 5 years.  Each has stayed at a variety of other facilities in CT, and this is the best place by a good margin for several reasons: the staff is the most caring and helpful, and the food is very, very good (quality, taste, temperature, etc). Also, due to its relatively small size, parking is quick and convenient so visiting is not a burden on family members.
