I walked in and walked out.... Billing for emergency services for non-emergent issues at a community walk-in clinic is a form of price-gouging and fraud.  The model this care center exploits is antithetical to the Institute of Medicine's recommendations to prevent the overuse of expensive emergency services, thus only further contributes to the failures of the greater healthcare system.  What is occurring here is reprehensible and could only succeed in an affluent town such as Fairfield, CT.  The Yale NewHaven Health System is a CT non-profit with an annual budget $2.5 billion; non-profits are intended to serve the community not over charge those who are sick and vulnerable.  Check out AFC Urgent Care as they are far more ethical and provide better quality of service.
