Nice easy spot to get to close to I94 but far enough away and right on the river so it's nice and quiet. Easy pull through sites all with water, sewer, 30 and 50 amp services. The sites are very open gravel parking with no picnic tables or fire pits. The bathrooms and showers look really nice and have modern tile but the showers have very low water pressure and luke warm water. Not a big deal though because of the full services sites. Really friendly and helpful staff. A bit pricy for $30 a night but they have discounts for longer stays. Lots of long term campers here.

If the ownership would put a little money into this place it could be a great park. But as it stands it's still way better than the north park campground by far..

Best tent camping we've had in a long time (fair amount of space between sites, water and electricity at every site, and tent space not segregated to the farthest reaches of the camp site). Clean bathrooms and showers, and wireless Internet access. RVs weren't stacked on top of each other. Plenty of room to walk your dog on leash (unlike many other sites, dogs are welcomed!). It all puts everyone in a really good mood. Only downside: quiet hours not enforced. Other than that, a terrific camp site. It might not be great if there is a huge overflow of campers -- there's no backup bathrooms for such an event. But I'm not sure how often that happens.

Where to begin with this campground? The negatives far outweigh the positives. So the short list of positives begins with: The place looks nice upon entering. The sites were level. The campground was quiet, with the exception of the trains. Cable tv worked well with about 80 channels to choose from. The negatives: Many old rundown campers in the park. Advertise wi-fi but it does not work unless you go to the main building, in my opinion that is deceptive advertising. Bathrooms have no soap dispensers or paper towels or any method to wash and dry hands. Bathrooms have signs that say “Do not plug in more than one hair blower at a time” Sounds like an electrical deficiency to me. Sewers are capped off with an inverted liter soda bottle painted red, I wonder if that is compliant? And last but not least the owner went absolutely ballistic on us because our dog got loose, running around the park with his leash dragging behind him. She came out to the balcony and was screaming at me, luckily I could not hear her because it was quite windy. As my husband joined me she started yelling at him to get the dog. When he replied that it was an accident she screamed “Bull#$*&” and proceeded to tell us how to properly attach a leash, with the dog at one end and the owner at the other end. She then told us to leave and that she was going to call the cops. We suggested that she do that. I know we broke a rule, it was truly an accident and I believe we were treated terribly by this woman. Her rant was totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. She had no problem taking our money for 6 nights at $38 a night which I think to be very overpriced. Unfortunately the campgrounds are few and far between and we had no choice but to stay here, we were visiting our daughter and family who are residents of Dickinson. We would never return here.
