Ticks were rampit like many places in North Dakota the spring of 2017. If they hadn't been I would have been inclined to explore this BLM land much more thoroughly as the landscape turned green. The campsite was alright but the area contains plenty of land from which to choose a primitive campsite.

We basically had the whole place to ourselves, and it was serene on a June evening!

Very large nicely mowed sites with picnic tables. Clean drop toilets. Quiet when I visited. Cheap. Beginning of June there were not many bugs, only a small stream through camp. Stopped here while getting my touring bike shuttled out to the middle of Montana.

A great place to stop on a long journey. The campsites are bit removed from the road, which can be a pain if you are on bicycle, but the $5 pricetag is nice. Nothing fancy but it does have water, a drop toilet, trash cans, and a fire ring.

campsites, each 1/2 acre with water. hiking nearby. You could place a half dozen family member around each site.
