About

Campagnolo Restaurant serves rustic Italian dishes in a warm and welcoming space.

Story

Campagnolo, famous for nose-to-tail cooking, offers affordable, casual dining in a warm and welcoming space. The menu, co-created by chef de cuisine Nathan Lowey and executive chef Robert Belcham, boasts house-made salumi (The Cure), hand stretched pizza, fresh pasta, risotto, and seasonally inspired main courses—using only the finest local ingredients. It’s simple and authentic.

Peter Van de Reep's expertly chosen wine list focuses entirely on Italian and BC selections, balanced by Italian-influenced cocktails and a solid selection of beers.

The spacious room is highlighted by original old growth fir wood beams and revealed brick. Designed by Marc Bricault, the 90-seat venue is warm and bustling, not flashy. Made from sustainable sources, the design features cork floors, tables made of recycled butcher blocks, wood and white oak.

Many vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

Very good risotto, and the taste of the pasta was yummy. A little loud. Very good service.

I went for dinner last night with my friend. The decor is pleasant with nice subtly appealing touches on things, the place had a nice feel to it. The staff were very nice, we had the pleasure of being served by a waitress and a trainee (both were very attentive and helpful). For food, we shared three items from the sharing mini-menu (for $18), all of the meats here were beautifully made (the chicken liver was fabulous), the accompanying jams/mustards and bread were great! I ordered the main pizza. from the specials menu - it was very disappointing and anti-climatic. The pizza was lacking in any real flavour (there was little to no toppings, and no tomato sauce? very much just some hard dough [it was a very thin base, which I normally like, but the lack of moisture from no toppings meant it was extremely dry and brittle].. I had to ask for Olive Oil to give it some taste). I'm trying not to, and I don't like to, be too critical in these reviews as small businesses try their best and a bad review can mean a lot - but in all honesty the waitress could have informed me that the pizza special did not come with tomato sauce, as a pre-ample (after all, pizza is known as having that as the base topping, right?) It wasn't a bad experience, overall, I just did not like the execution of the main dish, which put a "sour taste" in my mouth (not literally - and maybe it was my fault for choosing that dish, who knows?).

Usually go to the bar upstairs. Good selection of drinks. The dirty burger is excellent.

One of our fav Italian joints in the city. Their Agnolotti & Rigatoni are top shelf, and the Salsiccia Pizza is awesome with the whole grain crust. Can't lose at this location or their Roma site on Hastings!
