We had car trouble while in Yellowstone, and were stuck for the night right in Canyon Village. We were staying 2 hours away in Livingston, MT. There was no way we could get our car towed back to town, and all the shops back in town were closed on the weekend. Since this happened on Friday evening the only thing to do was to get a room at Canyon Village Lodge and get our car fixed at the repair shop there in CV. This place gave gave us room complimentary. I have never seen such awesome customer service. They really took care of us in a time of dire need. I can't say thank you enough. The front desk service was awesome as well.

I liked being completely off the grid, quiet, communing with nature (my husband, however, was in a bit of culture shock). The facilities are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and really helped to soak in the beauty outside. I loved that it was LEED certified. The pillows weren't the most comfortable ever, and we didn't like that there was a stuffed animal FOR SALE left on the beds. However, we can't wait for a return visit with the kids.

Poor service! No fridge when my other friends room had one! At the dinning common area. The service person did not turn on the ice machine and drink area. When I asked her about the ice machine and she said it didn't work. So I turned it on.! When I told her boss about it. He shrugged and said it was the end of the season! All that at $300 A night!

We stayed in the newly opened Moran lodge. The style of the new lodges is nicely up to date. The furniture is pretty good. The rooms have a nice view of the woods. The room could definitely use another ceiling light, or just a fixture with more than one bulb; if it's not sunny out, the room can be a bit dim. The staff here is wonderfully friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Canyon Lodge very much. We stayed in one of the two bedroom suites. The facilities seem to be either brand new or extremely well kept. Even though we stayed here during the first week of the season, the staff did a tremendous job at taking care of us. The location of the lodge is perfect since it is located towards the center of the park with easy access to all of the points of interest. I can't recommend the Canyon Lodge enough!
