Lake lodge was beautiful. There were many couches to hang out in with wifi (password locked for hotel guests only). The whole building looked like a large cabin. The staff were so polite and helpful. Self laundry service available. There is a cafeteria style restaurant inside with mediocre food, which is always packed --I think due to general lack of other food options in the whole park.

We stayed in a private cabin with two queen beds and private bath. The cabin has all the things you need. I liked the fact that there was no wifi and everyone was not busy with their phones. Had breakfast and evening snacks from the deli in the main building. Linens were all clean.The price was little high but staying inside the park gives more time to explore the park. I would recommend to stay here if you want to save time on driving.

No WIFI (even if you are willing to pay), no coffee maker, no microwave, so be prepared to read books in the noisy lobby if you are not bothered by the cloud of mosquitoes. Yes, they leave the windows open, and there is a lake outside. The building is a huge old wood structure with tall ceiling, which is nice to look at. But that also makes sure the small sound caused by every little move in the level above being amplified enough to reach your ears. That of course encouraged me to get up early and enjoy the morning of the beautiful lake. Don't go to this place.

My boyfriend and I eat lunch at the lake lodge and it was wonderful. He had a delicious salmon and I had a mushroom bison berger. Absolutely delicious! And our waiter was so kind. All of the employees were welcoming. The gift shop was awesome to.

The lake lodge cafeteria was mediocre. It was quick to get through the line and all the service friendly. The meat was good, the mashed potatoes were as well. The vegetable sides were expectedly mushy and the salads were mostly iceberg lettuce but with quality cucumber, carrots and tomatoes. We read that this cafeteria is scheduled to be updated to something similar to the Canyon lodge which was much more modern and generally very good.
