Realized this gem of a salon is just up the street from home. Capelli is based out of a converted house, so it's easy to miss. That being said, Jo did a phenomenal job with my haircut. Really appreciated her expertise and the ease with which she guided me towards a good look for myself. I believe it was $28, which included a shampoo, a little pricy for a basic men's haircut but totally worth it. Will be back soon!

Great ambiance- this is an older, historical Carrboro home that has been converted into the salon. Right across the street from Southern States. Everyone is friendly and the prices are fair. If interested in a nice, healthier hair color alternative ask for Gity Kazemian who works with clients in applying Henna. This is an herb- based natural dye and works great for brunettes wanted to naturally cover silver "highlights" with a beautiful, dark red.

Wonderful stylist! Greg at Capelli has been cutting, and coloring my hair for over 2 years and I am absolutely delighted with the results! I love going there, as he is great to work with! Parking beside the quaint little shop is easy,and the service is tailored to the customer. Greg is a great hair stylist. I have tried others and none can compare to the great eye he has for color and style mixed with his collaborative efforts with the client to find the best style.

I started going to Capelli after my hairstylist Kelly Orlando joined the team.  Kelly is a fantastic hairstylist and always knows exactly what to do to get my hair to behave.  I've been reluctant to try new things, but with her I'm not afraid to go short, get bangs, or try new products.  I really like the laid back vibe of the location and there is free parking, a plus in a place like Chapel Hill/Carrboro.  Another review I read said they didn't have a credit card machine - funny, since I pay with a credit card every time!  You do pay a premium for Kelly's quality services, but honestly, I've paid the same amount at other places in the area for a much worse experience.
