Story

To the woods salon retails such boutique brands as Vegan newcomer R+Co, Malin & Goetz, Barber & Fritz.
We specialize in advanced razor cutting, curly haircuts, natural Balayage highlights, Liscio Japanese Thermal Reconditioning, Ammonia-Free hair color, and event hair.
We enjoy participating in advanced education in order to elevate ourselves and our craft.
Our salon features clean design, warm natural locally sourced wood touches, lovingly chosen specialty plants, elevated periodicals, and Carrboro's best coffee and teas.
We do not advertise and get most of our business from referrals, which we consider to be the best compliment of all!
Our amazing clients achieved on our behalf, Best New Business 2014 in our first year of operating!
We are thrilled to be in Greenbridge Condominiums and the new Graham St beat!

Molly has consistently given me the best haircuts of my life, with hair short or long. I'm not one to go in with a picture of what I want, but a vague "keep the length" or "chop it down" and ask her (or anyone here!) to do what they think will look good on my face. I've tried this at other salons and have been a little disappointed. Not here. The 
pricing is really great for the quality of cut, and they offer free bang trims, which I try to get monthly to keep the cut in control. I highly recommend to the woods for anyone in the Triangle area (I drive from Durham), and especially recommend Molly!

Great friendly staff. They make you laugh and feel right at home. Abby is the greatest. Prompt service, great memories. Will most definitely will be a returning customer. She made me beautiful and pretty for the first time in a long time. As a mother and wife...that is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Thanks to the awesome staff for a most enjoyable experience

I've been going to Julie for years, but I've had my hair cut or colored by all the wonderful stylists there. I have never had a bad experience or a bad hair cut. Julie, Jess, and Jaime (the owners) are all incredibly talented, hardworking, professional, and welcoming. The salon itself is beautiful, and the products used and sold are high quality and available at a variety of price points. I have never felt pressured to buy anything I didn't want. Don't forget to bring cash for a tip and to keep the little kids at home. Highly recommend to the woods to anyone looking for a great salon experience (and hair cut!) at a reasonable price.

I was struggling to find a salon that could give me the short cut that I wanted but I came here and they got it right the first time and it was perfect! I love this place. I highly recommend it to any women with short hair.
