Capital District Referral Hospital provides compassionate veterinary emergency services 24/7/365 to cats and dogs. Capital District is AHAA accredited.
Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic (CDAEC) was developed by local veterinarians in 1984 as a means to provide emergency/urgent care services and continuous care of hospitalized critical patients beyond those services available during normal veterinary hospital hours of operation. CDAEC is an extension of the care provided by your family veterinarian and your family veterinarian will be integrally involved with the continuum of care once your pet is discharged from our care.
In 2015, Capital District joined the IVG network of hospitals. Together our goal is to bring advanced compassionate 24 hour emergency veterinary and specialty care, 365 days per year, to pet owners in Latham and the surrounding towns.
We renamed the hospital Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital and plan to add surgery and internal medicine specialty services in the near future.
