Story

Car Care Advanced Service Center employes are all ASE-certified (automotive service excellence) technicians that use the latest automotive technology to diagnose and efficiently handle all major and minor repairs on foreign and domestic vehicles.

Our full-service automotive service center has been serving Woodbury, Minnesota and surrounding communities since 1995. It is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants and we offer our customers loaner vehicles when needed.

As a certified Napa Auto Care Center, we are able to provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family owned business. After paying a little over $1,800.00 for a full clutch replacement, my clutch went out after 4 years, about 40,000 miles.  I came here since they replaced it they said they were happy to look at it.  I am under complete assumption this inspection is goodwill (free). At the very least they could have been upfront about the labor fee, but it wasn't mentioned to me.  Of course they charged me $60 for 30 minutes of labor, so the indisputable problem here was i was informed of a charge AFTER service was performed, not before. That was strike one for me.  I told them the cost of repair exceeds the value of the car (2003 saturn ion with 246K miles). I asked if they can meet me half way with the service charge since I spent over $1800 there previously and I was not informed of the service charge. I was told they have to pay their mechanic. I sure am glad that specific mechanic is making $120 an hour.... even bumping $30 off my price would have made my day, but they wouldn't budge.  Here comes the real issue, something I never expected... They told me I can come pick up my car, so I show up, pay $60 and get my keys, get in my car to leave.....the clutch doesn't engage, car doesn't budge at all.  I literally paid them $60 to break my car.  Now I understand my vehicle was in questionable condition, that's why I brought it there in the first place, but if i drive my car in, I would expect to be able to drive it out. They didn't even give me the courtesy to tell me my car is not derivable, so now i have to tow my car.... talk about a bad day.  The ONLY thing I am appreciative of was they allowed me to keep the car there for about 5-6 days until I could decide where I was going to tow it.  I give them points where they are due. Two indisputable facts: 1. They did not tell me they were going to charge me for the inspection, but informed me AFTER labor/service was done. 2. I drove my car in, I could not drive it out. They broke my car, period. Agh, bring your car here at your own risk, I still think $1800 is a lot for a full clutch replacement that only lasted 4 years. the original clutch lasted over 12 years. I still have the receipt for the service.

Had my car scheduled to fix something and it ended up not being what I thought so they called and asked to tell me the news and didn't replace anything until I confirmed it unlike many shops. Great price and great work. Have had them do work before and they always do great and for a good price compared to nearby shops!

Excellent, Had a '05 Avalanche in for a water pump replacement. They did a first class job. In and out in one day. Recommend this place highly.
