I used to think that Car-doc was the place to go if you didn't want to be swindled or oversold on repairs. But that's absolutely no longer the case. I took my car in last year for it's vehicle inspection and emissions testing. The Check Engine light was on which meant it was an automatic emissions test fail and wouldn't pass until that light was off. The total cost of repairs to get it to pass was close to $1000. I don't have my receipt still but I believe that was for 1 oxygen sensor. I did it because I had to in order to pass inspection. Or so I thought. By chance, last week I missed my appointment with Car-Doc to get my car's emissions test. I found another shop nearby that could still get me in that day. My car, with it's check engine light on again (see below), failed. 5 sensors needed fixing this time. The guy gave me two options: 1. Fix them all which could potentially run up to $1000 OR 2. He could fix it up to $450 and get a waiver for the rest. What?? That's right. If you have multiple sensors that need fixing, you can fix them until you hit $450 and get a waiver for the rest. OR, if it's one sensor and it will cost over $450 to fix, you can get a waiver for the whole thing and not pay a dime. Why did Car-Doc not tell me about this?! Why was I not given that option? I was unemployed at the time and could have seriously used that money for better things than an oxygen sensor that in no way hinders the safety of the vehicle. But they have a very, very nice new building and probably needed that money more than me. That check engine light? Sure enough, Car-Doc got it to turn off. But it literally came back as I drove off their lot and as stayed on since. I'm giving 2 stars only because it really is a beautiful new building. But if you want an honest mechanic who won't sell you things you don't need, don't go to Car-Doc.

I had been taking my Lexus IS250 to the dealer but after several misquotes / "fine print additions" and a constant array of attempts to upsell me...I called Car Doc. Mark was great...we set the appointment...the service was done promptly and professionally. Several service recommendations (NOT PUSHY YOU GOTTA' DO THIS) were made and we will handle these as time requires. Great staff...great cookies...and the satisfied feeling brings a Yuuuugggge smile to my face. Thank you, Car Doc.

Our car had total engine failure in an area not too close to where we live. I joined AAA over the phone and had it towed to Car-Doc as it was the closest AAA-approved mechanic. I'm so glad it was taken there. They found we needed a total engine replacement. He shopped around for a used engine and found they were particularly higher priced than he expected ($6k for one with 50k miles), so he suspected there was more demand on the engine that usual. He called the dealership and found that there was a huge recall that had not been communicated to us. Long story short...our engine replacement was completely covered by the manufacturer and I have Car-Doc to thank. I will definitely bring business back to them, even though they're not close to where we live.

Volkswagen was going to charge my fiance $1000+ to fix something that Car Docs found was under warranty. I highly recommend these guys.
