About

We are an independent non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors and part of the Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Shop Network.

Story

The Care and Share Thrift Shoppes started as one thrift shoppe in 1975. Leadership, contributions and a strong volunteer commitment were all provided by surrounding churches from the Franconia Mennonite Conference, Eastern District Conference and Brethren In Christ churches. Just as our shoppes have grown from 8,000 square feet to over 51,000 square feet, so has our group of volunteers, donors and shoppers. We are blessed by continued strong relationships with our founding churches and now are additionally blessed with a large variety of supporters from our local community and from a variety of denominations. The Care and Share Thrift Shoppes is an independent non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors. We are a part of the Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Shop Network, a bi-national group of shops who supports the mission of Mennonite Central Committee. The dollars you spend at Care and Share Thrift Shoppes will impact thousands of lives. Shop our shoppes for quality, used items at a great price. Your purchase of these goods becomes your 'gift to the world' through Mennonite Central Committee. Since our beginnings, we have donated over 14 million dollars to Mennonite Central Committee.

Awesome thrift stores. The Mennonites have it going! I am returning with more money in my pocket. I got a bread box (exactly what I was looking for) and a lovely lamp. Perfect! Besides working for a great cause, the products offered are in nice shape and I saw some new items as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Just an aside: bring shopping bags. You will need them.

There are some truly amazing things about this thrift store. I love their outlet store. Great deals if you like to dig (and I do!) The rest of the stores are higher priced than most other thrift stores, but they have half price colored tags each week, 75% off certain colors on Saturdays, and one Friday a month everything is half priced, so there are great deals to be had and you have to remember the money you spend goes to a good cause. The volunteers that receive donations have been so condescending and out right nasty to me that I don't donate there anymore, but I still shop on occasion.

Possibly the best thrift store I have been to. The volunteers are really nice. It is proven that this place gives more of the money it makes to charity then almost any other thrift store.

Nice selection on a sale day, well organized with a lot of helpful volunteers period friendly staff, clean clothes for resale all sized and properly hung. Good place to visit, every third week of the month.

As thrift stores go, it's really good... Probably the best thing it has going on for it is its size. This place is enormous, and there's alot of variety... And as with most thrift stores, a lot of junk to sit through...
