Apparently people have no idea what a 5-star  rating is. I regrettably tried this place again after a friend told me how much she and her husband enjoyed eating dinner here. I came for lunch and ordered a BLT. Before ordering I asked the waitress if the bacon was cooked fresh or if it was leftover from breakfast. She assured me it was cooked fresh all day. Wrong! It was cold, hard, and dry. And the tomato on the sandwich was an anemic looking pink color - it's the end of summer, fresh ripe tomatoes are available everywhere (except at the Carlisle Cafe apparently). The sandwich came with in-house made chips--it would have been better if they had left them off as they were overcooked and oily.
My previous excursions here at breakfast were all dismal failures. Quality ingredients certainly are not the norm here. I won't say that I won't come back because I've been known to repeat a disappointing experience with the expectation that this time will be different, but sorry off an act of desperation, I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon.

Very good service as well as excellent food. Our family and church family likes to come after church on Sunday afternoon and although they are busy they always do their best to accommodate us quickly and courteously.

I like to go to the small town diners and restaurants. I've been to this one a few times. If there's one thing I wish all of them would do something a little unique. They all have the same salt and pepper shaker for gods sake. With the same salt. All getting the same product in. Cooking it the same way. My food was ok. These places don't focus on on higher quality ingredients. Just having real maple syrup would be great. Charge a $1 more for the pancake breakfast.

It's the classic small-town diner, we have noly been for breakfast but the food is great, the service is wonderful and the price is right. We love it. Great homefries!

A locally-owned and well-kept little cafe. A favorite place for Sunday breakfast. Also open for lunch and dinner. Good selection of typical American fare, all well done.
