I have been training martial arts my entire life.  Since the age of 4 I have trained and experienced a variety of gyms throughout the states and I can easily say that Carlson Gracie Team MMA is the best gym I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. The quality of  training and teaching there is simply unmatched. It's all about having fun while becoming better so naturally I have become a greater martial artist than I ever could of imagined. On top of that, the welcoming atmosphere that the gym provides makes it feel like a second home. I highly recommend this gym to anyone that is looking to have fun, get in better shape, and learn from the best.

My opinion is this is one of the best places around to learn a true art. The level of instruction is great even for a new person coming in. I initially was only looking to get my 7 year old son into Jui-Jitsu , but ended up joining myself. Wish my job allowed me more time to attend but any time i do make it i still feel welcomed every time.  Its a true family team , meaning even the advanced students are more than happy to help you learn.  They promote a fun atmosphere for the kids which makes them look forward to every class.  I highly recommend  attending.  Very glad we did .

Super well equipped gym, with massive space, and friendly knowledgeable instructors, who care - you really can't ask for more. I've been doing various martial arts since I was a kid, and I've been in a lot of "schools"- so far I've found the instructors, and students very open, patient, and well versed in how to explain concepts and movements of all levels. Seems to be good at keeping a nice balance of drilling, making sure of comprehension, and practical application. Honestly- I only started here because they were the only place that fit my schedule, so I wasn't sure I would stay- but I've ended up very impressed, and completely hooked. I couldn't be happier with how well it's gone.

Hands down the best instruction in the area. Very patient and detail oriented instruction. The martial arts you learn here will make you confident and capable of defending yourself. Carlson Gracie Channahon has a great group of training partners that are always friendly and eager to help with your goals. Whether you want to get yourself in shape while having fun, compete, or you are a pro this is the place train.

Have been a member of Carlson Gracie for over 2 years and have met some of my closest friends here! Since the ownership change, I cannot think of a single complaint!! Great atmosphere and even greater teaching. The instructors here are the best in the midwest hands down. Any gym that say they are not are liars. If you come here to learn mixed martial arts, it is a promise you will LOVE it!

All of the coaches are great my 8 yr old daughter has been doing Jiujutsu for 2 years and she loves it. My 4yr old daughter and I have since decided to start the class also and I could not be happier with what we have learned. This is more than just a gym you meet people who become like family.

I wanted to get back into shape and learn self defense. The results were excellent and I had lots of energy and was feeling healthy again. I was a bit nervous to walk into a MMA gym but the entire staff was friendly and helpful. This coaching staff is highly qualified and its a great place for the entire family. From Jiu-Jitsu to Boxing you will get a great workout.

This place is awesome ! Great coaches, great people, great environment, great facility  ! We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our daughters to train at. Top notch training from excellent personable coaches who really know how to get through to the kids as well as teach a top level adult class. They are always keeping it fun for the little ones. Hands down 5 stars !!!!
