The Carter County Museum was founded in 1936 through the efforts of Walter H. Peck and the Carter County Geological Society. Constructed of petrified wood and locally quarried sandstone, this unique museum also holds the honor of being the first county museum founded in Montana.
Open year round with free admission, CCM is a great starting point on the Montana Dinosaur Trail.
