We build, sell and repair bicycles as well as stock bicycle apparel, accessories and components. We are deeply invested in bicycle culture and community.

Story

In 2007, Carytown Bicycle Company opened in the historic Carytown district of Richmond, Virginia. Our goal was simple: to create the best independent, locally owned bike shop possible.

You see, we felt like Richmond needed a shop that met the needs of every rider–from the six year-old to the sixty year-old, the racer to the mountain biker, the commuter to the fixed gear fan.


At the same time, we knew we wanted a shop where professionalism ruled the day, where we treated every customer as we would ourselves like to be treated: with respect, understanding and scrupulous attention to detail.

At Carytown Bicycle Company, we provide the ultimate in customer service. From our state-of-the-art, in-house bike repair facility, to our Serotta Certified Bike Fitting System, we have invested tens of thousands of dollars in the tools needed to be the best bike shop around.

Much more importantly, however, we have invested in a staff with the experience and desire to listen to our customers and meet their needs, no matter how big or small.
