Story

Casini Ranch Family Campground has been a family operated RV park and campground - open year round since 1965. It is set among beautiful hills and rests on a gentle meander of the Russian River just minutes from the Pacific Ocean in Sonoma County. One mile of river runs along this 110 acre part of the ranch offering campers a memorable camping experience.

This is definitely not a "wild" campsite. The campground is very well developed, has a lot of amenities,  like hot showers, volleyball field, activities for kids, a convenience store etc.  So the pros: safer, clean, convenient, kids friendly,  close to Russian river and a few minutes drive away from the ocean. Cons: expensive, feels more like camping in a city park.

This is a well maintained and clean family run campground that is very family friendly.  I stayed here for 4 days and enjoyed every minute of it.  The hosts are friendly and they will escort you to your site and help you get backed in if you need it,  The site I had was down by the river and was well worth the extra money.  The sites by the river are well separated so you are not stacked on top of each other and the sound of the river is soothing.  If you are into hiking there are plenty of trails within 10 minutes of here and for the 3 days I hiked I never had to use the same one twice.  There is a small store on site and you are just minutes from Duncan Mills where there is some nice antique shopping.

Nice place, but way over priced. It was quiet at our site by the river. we paid $62 per night in February.

Camping spots, particularly RV sites, are pretty close together but a great destination  for family camping on the Russian River

I had a great time the people are really nice .We went fishing and put up some rain gutter what a nice day out there .lots of river access.
