The campground here is spectacular. The coast right here from Goat's rock beach to Wright's beach is one of the most beautiful in the world. All along the coast here there are little tiny inlets and beaches to enjoy the scenary. The campground itself is a little neglected and needs some work to bring it up to world class standards. There is no dump station at all and water is limited. To dump out motorhome holding tanks you must drive 5 miles south to Bodega dunes state park. Also many of the campsites need cleanup and sites 9 and 10 flood during rain and have streams and mud flowing through them. The busiest campsites are 1-10 with the other campsites many times empty. They do have a camp board at the ranger station for campers to choose if needed. Often campers will pick one of the campsites from 11-21 and then wait for an opening in campsites 1-10. Campsite 4 is the best protected campsite from the wind and campsite 5 is the roomiest. There is no cell phone service in the campground but a short walk along the beach to Duncan's landing has excellent cell phone service. Enjoy!

Very close to beach. Sand is very soft. Good access to restrooms and water with hot water. Though no place to shower.

Beautiful campground with generally clean restrooms that have plumbing and (from my experience) are cleaned twice a day. The restrooms are nice in that they're private rooms instead of stalls; there's 4 of them for the campsite. If you're lucky with your reservation, you'll get a spot that opens up to a beautiful view of the beach, too. Otherwise it's less than a minute walk to the sand. For showers, head 5-6 miles south to the Bodega Dunes campground where you can buy each hot shower time for 50 cents each 2 minutes. They used to validate you for free showers if you're coming from Wright's Beach (since it's another state park), but unfortunately they stopped doing that recently.

Like everybody has said sites 1-10 are beach front sites with a decent amount of privacy. You could even park your car in a way to achieve more privacy from the loop. We had site 17 and had sufficient privacy on the sides, but had our neighbors 15 feet directly behind our fire pit with some tree coverage. The privacy wasn't as bad as people have described. The beach is just a few minutes walk away. Bathrooms had flush toilets, sinks, and toilet paper. They were clean. Showers are available a few minutes down the road for free with your vehicle sticker. Overall great camping experience and enjoyed waking up to the beautiful sound of crashing waves.

Love the place if you're looking for beach camping along the Northern CA coast. Site's 1-10 (premium spots) are on the beach, while the rest face these premium spots. Since there are only two loops at Wright's Beach and the daily lot is small, you pretty much have the place to yourself and the other campers. Also, no one should pay to come to Wright's Beach, when you can park at any of the nearby lots along the freeway for free. Anyway, one bathroom area with 4-6 bathrooms, don't remember exactly how many. They keep it very clean, have hot water, an flushing toilets. The beach itself is standard northern California beach, complete with tidal pools, sneaker waves, sea shells, wildlife, and wild flowers. One of my favorite campsites in the area, if you can get a reservation.
