The owners response is such a filthy liar!! Your cameras would prove that!!! I took pics and you couldn't pay me to stay in your filthy hotel. I'm now reporting you to the BBB and health inspectors!! Where do I start! First of all, new owners took over this place awhile ago. Over half of the good reviews are from the previous owners not these new ones. As you arrive in the castle you'll notice an old smell that they're trying to cover up with incense! The vents were black with dust. Lovely fingerprints on the walls. The lady that checked us in just pointed us to our room. As we entered the Edinburgh we noticed that Romeo and Juliet left us several curly black pubic hairs in the tub along with mold growing out of the filter. We gently pulled back our comforter to see if it was clean and once again Romeo and Juliet was kind enough to leave us several stains!! We opened the toilet area and found an old toilet with lovely pee stains all around it! The floor was sticky and it made that sticky sound as you tried to escape the area. Let's not forget that the dust bunnies were multiplying and our allergies were flaring to add to the ambience. This was not the romantic weekend my husband and I planned!!! Our skin was crawling! We could only imagine what a black light would reveal! We immediately asked her for a refund! She asked why. We told our room was filthy!!! She said that wasn't a good enough excuse!!! Are you kidding me!!! Yuck!! We left!!! However reading some of the other reviews (that was probably an actual review instead of the new owners family/friends reviews) we felt ripped off that we didn't have the used condom under the bed, maybe we did, we didn't look under the bed, or the mold growing out of the showers. Ours had a hand held sprayer in our dirty tub for the shower and no shower curtain. It also looks like we missed out on the microwave sausage, and soggy, slopy, potatoes. Shucks! We won't be back!!

Awesome bed and breakfast. It's near everything, yet still seems secluded. The room was clean and fun to be in. The staff was awesome and answered all of our questions with a smile. Since there are only so many rooms they actually have a small video library you can use along with board games and a small all night snack bar. Breakfast wasn't big, but it came with getting the room and was very tasty. Would stay there again.

Me and my wife stayed here on our Anniversary. The room we chose to stay in was the Romeo and Juliet suite. But after being in the room for a few hours my wife wasn’t satisfied with the condition and upkeep of the room. We asked if there was anyway we could switch rooms and they were nice enough to switch us to another room. The staff was very nice as well. Breakfast was good too. They have Plex and Roku TV so there are plenty of things to watch. Relaxing tub and towels too plus shampoo conditioner as well. Very relaxing place with very nice staff and our weekends was perfect!

The staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was better than most included breakfasts.

An excellent, intimate bed and breakfast, with themed rooms (ours was the Edinburgh, with Scottish outfitting). The service was great and we enjoyed the breakfast, brought to our room.
