I went to this office and saw Dr. Foster as a kid. Long wait times then too. I chose this office for my son because I went there as a kid and they have progressively gotten worse as we have gone there. Any time I call if my son is sick I have to wait a day sometimes 2 or more days for a call back. At our last scheduled appointment we waited an hour and a half to be seen and when we did get back there the nurse was in such a hurry to leave she was rude and rushing everything to the point where weight was inaccurately taken as well as height and she physically was rough with me and my son and almost hit him with the cart holding her computer. If I hadn't pulled him out of the way she would have rolled right over him. She didn't apologize or acknowledge what happened. When I tried to talk directly with her she ignored me so she could leave. When I told our current Doctor Lloyd what happened she was noncommittal about addressing the issue! She acknowledged that it was terrible behavior but did not say they would even talk to the nurse about it. I have since been trying to get referrals for vision and hearing evaluations for my son to attend preschool with speech therapy for his speech delay. I called them twice last week with no response. Called on Monday and they finally put in our records what we needed and assured me I would get a call back the same day. I finally called them again today (two days later from assured call) and got put through to their referrals office and got information for the referrals. I called the referred ophthalmologist office and am now having issues with them. Rough times. I am just switching Pediatricians and getting new referrals. Would not recommend this pediatrician office or the Children's Eye Center Dr. David Day they referred me to.

I have always been very impressed with the staff and doctors here. Dr Goldberg has been amazing for our son . We have also used the 24 hr line multiple times with very positive support.

First visit impression: The staff are busy hard at work very polite. I was impressed by the level of communication skills. They were very capable of handling my child as well as others during booster's. Janel D. Lloyd, MD. Was especially helpful and I thank GOD for people like her.

Long compliment follows! My son and I have seen all but one doctor at Catalina Pediatrics over the past 6.5 years of his life. Our primary doctor is Dr. Sosan Moussa. Not only is she a great, empathetic listener, she is a “scientific-method” medical professional who communicates succinctly and clearly a step-by-step approach to a medical concern with great knowledge and warmth both as a doctor and a mom, herself. My son really trusts her as she considers his whole person and we both love her, even after the not fun experience of vaccinations. Sometimes, the nurse who is a bit rushed has less patience than I would like with children who have fears of “needles” for a vaccination and in an effort to “keep schedule on time” exacerbates an already fearful situation that may need more “reasoning”. Still, she was caring and professional. Yet, again office staff (lovely lady at the front desk) (who are busy and hard working) and doctors always remember us as “family” and welcome us warmly, kindly and with a sense of professional love. My son, gratefully, is very healthy, and we rarely need any attention from the RN or doctors, but when we have, Stacy, the RN, is prompt, gracious, knowledgeable and considerate with her medical expert responses to my concerns and questions, as well as, getting us scheduled that day when necessary. We have, no matter the time, received prompt attention by the on-call physician with good medical consult by phone. I am okay with the 15-25 minute waits which are rare due to the very conscientious attention Dr. Moussa and Dr. Johnson, especially have provided. They take the time to teach my curious son about his medical care and to listen to him respectfully. This takes some time, which I then consider is being given to other families, as well, and that may occasionally result in being behind schedule. The doctors have always addressed us as very valued at the moment of the visit. Dr. Moussa, has, in fact, had us feel like extended family! I trust her medical expertise and supportive parental support with my most cherished human, my son. I value the joy that especially Dr. Moussa and Dr. Johnson bring to their care of children! I highly recommend all the doctors we have interacted with at Catalina Pediatrics, Goldberg, Johnson, Foster and Moussa. And, a big “shout out” for Stacy, the RN. One more thing to mention, although the staff is extremely proactive regarding vaccinations as “pro- responsible-citizen”, they also respect a “less medical” and cautious approach when attending to ear infections, coughs, fevers... They supported me at making changes in nutrition diet when my son was pretty young and garlic oil treatment as first approach to ear treatment and even alleviating an early ear ache with reducing air pressure in the inner ear by trying to breath into a paper bag. They taught us to increase dilation to bronchioles for an irritating cough with honey, lemon and water and going from cold outdoor air or freezer to warm steamy bathroom with hot running shower water (not having the child in the hot water;)). Then, if that did not work, recommending over-the-counter medicines or prescribing medicines to a nearby pharmacy. Kudos!

We've met and love all the doctors, have always been worked in for urgent needs, always get call backs for questions or labs, and half the time my bum never hits a chair before their name is called. I only knock a star because the office staff seem a bit overwhelmed. Sometimes this leads to longer waits at checkout so she can take a call or two or trouble getting help at the front desk.
