Just arrived and already want to leave. Front desk staff was less than inviting or complimentary to the Marriott reputation. When they informed me my room was a two double bed room I asked, " What happened to my king bed? I called last week to make sure it would be a king." The response was "Sorry, we are pretty booked up." Again I let them know I had called ahead last week and was told it would be a king. It fell again on deaf ears. I am 6'3 1/2" 225lbs..not a double bed guy. And what Marriott doesn't have a mini fridge in it?? Not impressed, nor will I be staying here again.

Nice place but a little dated. Very cool building that is large & open with a lot to look at. Main Lobby & public space is awesome! They have TONS of meeting space for all your needs. Place does need a little updating though. Main entrance doors were broke & looked like they had been for a while. Rooms are in need of a brand update (coming soon) but they are very spacious & well-maintained. Overall, everything is very clean & presentable.

Very easy access from I-380 via Iowa 100. Some nearby restaurants (Chili's, Panera) as well as the one on-site - more further down 100. We booked with points, literally 20 minutes before arriving on a stormy evening. We requested foam pillows during our check-in - and did not get them until well over an hour later after calling down to remind them. The room furnishings, except for the bed, were old and shabby looking. The sofa was worn, and the window treatments did not match the rest of the decor. It felt like "that room" that hotels never upgrade and use to dump their old furnishings. Maybe this particular room was an exception - I have no way of knowing. The lobby and restaurant area looked fine.

Was at the hotel to film a wedding event. Reception halls were a good size for the groups and fit 2 weddings events happening in one night. Rooms were clean and fit a good number of people in them as well

The ballroom was a very nice space with pleasant decor. The room was warm though and it seemed like the climate control was not functional. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. Good parking opportunities.
