I liked the old version better. The view is great, but however, there are a few problems. You may go seat with other people you don't know and you're pretty much forced to. It may stop after 2 times around non stop, so you may wait; the older version you just don't wait and just go right in. The old staff used to be nice, but now new staff came in and has a little bit of attitude. Don't try and/or take photos of the souvenir photos without first paying $20, which I think is expensive; they'll have an attitude to you if you do. I liked the old school ferris wheel better.

Amazing view once you reach the top. I feel like while there doesn’t seem to be too much to do at Navy Pier (in the winter, at least), the centennial wheel made the trip out there worth it. Yes, the price is a little high, but the view almost makes up for it. Make sure to go on a clear day, or else you won’t be able to see too much. I definitely recommend this to anyone who isn’t afraid of heights or wants to see a breathtaking view of Chicago.

This has to be one of the most incredible views of the City of Chicago even on a cloudy grey day. Fabulous views of the city, lakeshore, Lake Michigan and all the way to Indiana. Great view of the John Hancock building and Millennial Park anf Grant Park. A must stop for tourists and locals.

So we had a nice experience on the ferris wheel. You should go early than do not have to standing the line. The view is great to Chicago skyline and lake. Not cheap but very nice! Very enjoyable I highly recommend.

This was a great way to close out our Chicago trip! You are in an enclosed car (not your typical open-aired seat on a typical Ferris wheel) with several other people, but it wasn’t overcrowded. You get just the right amount of rotations to fully take in the view of the city.
