4 years later and counting! Center for life management, the whole collaborative care team saved my life. I can not stress enough, how much every single soul at CLM cares. Above and beyond care, above and beyond support, and so many tools available to help get you or your loved ones to where they not only need to be, but to get where they want to be, as their own independent individuals. I can’t thank the whole collaborative care team enough. You guys rock!
My son has been working with CLM for over a year now. Initially he went to see someone named Brian from the crisis team and he helped my son immensely. Now he sees Maureen for therapy and James for someone who takes him into the community they play games via Microsoft teams because of covid and talk about life skills. They have been amazing with him and have helped him grow in so many ways. He has high functioning autism, adhd, anxiety, and recently PTSD. They have taught him coping skills to help with these diagnosis and have never once tried to push medication as a treatment but if I wanted, we would explore them. I have not had any issues with the CLM office or staff, appointments are always set and process was easy even during covid when we started with the therapies after crisis intervention.
This establishment is a classic example of the flawed medical system. We took our son there for some behavior problems. They interviewed us while our son waited in the hall, then scheduled us for therapy sessions. If I have to say anything positive about the place, the therapist was great, but that hardly has any saving grace on CLFM, and it doesn't matter how good the therapists are here, you should not visit or take anyone you care about here to get help. After going there for a couple months, it was revealed to us that a diagnosis had actually been given to our son based solely on the new patient visit that we had done at the beginning, where we spoke with the staff there and our son was not involved. It was a very extreme diagnosis and it did not even line up to pretty much anything we read about that diagnosis when we looked into it. We expressed how displeased we were with how they came to this conclusion, but they said they "had" to give the diagnosis at the beginning to satisfy insurance benefits and the only way they could renege their diagnosis was to put our son through a rigorous full day mental evaluation to rule it out. So basically, they are under pressure to submit diagnosis' to insurance, therefore incentivizing them to stretch facts or come up with bogus diagnosis'. When those diagnosis' are challenged, you are thrown into the "guilty until proven innocent" camp. Stay far away from CFLM. On another note, your child may find much more effective, encouraging, and less manipulated help over at Pediatric Therapy Center, just up the road from CFLM.
Money grubbing people who don't even help my kids. Both my kids said this place is a joke and this is after they were physically and emotionally assaulted by their mother. The judge wrote in the court documents they need to write a letter on the status of how their progress is doing or they will be subpoenaed. The counselors said they can't only can call for medical records number. So if you are in a court battle and NEED WRITTEN PROOF OF THE PROGRESS FOR COURT. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. BECAUSE THEY WON'T HELP YOU.
I work alongside CLM and find them to be incredibly helpful. They do a great job and really know how to work collaboratively and address the needs of their clients in a wrap around approach. Thought they could use a positive review since they deserve one!
