Had a pair of pure leather heels, brand new never worn in ivory. I need them to be a medium tan color to complement a WWII uniform, and brought them in asking if they could be dyed. The people were extremely enthusiastic about the project and very confident the color would be no trouble, they asked me to come back in a week to pick them up. A week later I come in to get my shoes, the color is extremely close to what I had hoped for so I was thrilled. However, the leather seemed a tad stiff and the finish was a little tacky. I initially chalked it up to the humidity slowing the curing process for the finishing glaze. I took them with me to work, bringing them inside to avoid the extreme cold of the car which I know can mess up leather. By the time I brought them home 9 hrs later the leather wrapping around the heel of the shoe was peeling up and the color around the outer rim of the foot opening was...flaking, chipping? I left them for another 24 hrs untouched, the chipping continued. I gently wiped them with leather conditioner and a soft cloth, it came up with a slight bit of the tan color. I have worked with leather dyes and paints before (just didn't have time to do my shoes myself before my event), and given the opaqueness of the color along with the chipping behaviour I think perhaps the shoes were leather painted rather than dyed. I don't mind paint, but it does behave differently than dye and isn't what I had asked for nor expected. I also wonder, given how busy the shop appeared, if the stripping and paint work was a tad rushed thus resulting in the tacky finish and chipping. Overall the color was good, service excellent, but the finished product isn't quite what I'd hoped for. Granted, the price was more than fair and the problems easily fixable at home.

Had an eyelet go bad on my Danners. Service was fast and price was more than fair. I'll return if i need more in the future

These folks are wonderful to work with and do absolutely great work. I grew up in rural Montana and have been around some of the best leatherworkers/cobblers alive--These folks are right up there with them. They have worked on my boots for several years and I have not one complaint. If you need cobbler work this is the ONLY place to go in the PNW!

I used to come here often to get different shoes done and they did a great job but recently I went in and I had a question about a repair I needed on some leather laces and the lady was just rude she couldn’t repair them which I understand but just her whole attitude was just unbelievable today and wouldn’t even entertain me with ideas on how I can get them done it was just nope nope nope won’t come Back
