I had a negative customer experience with Centraire. I contacted them through their "Contact Us" email address on their website to explain the experience and my disappointment. The President of the company responded sincerely within an hour to me message. As a result, I am updating this rating from a 1 star to 3 star and I removed the details of the negative interaction. I believe the mistakes of one or two employees should not be a permanent blemish on an overall company provided the company is committed to resolving the issue. Thank you, Mr. Packer.

So last summer, my air conditioner went out. We were new to the area and found a sticker for Centraire on our unit. They came out and after quite some time the problem had not been resolved. Not only that, but the technician told me that he thought the refrigerant he added to my air conditioner was installed improperly at the factory with another liquid. As you can imagine, I cancelled my scheduled visit with him. I had lost faith in the company. I had my HVAC guys who were remodeling my kitchen look at the unit. They looked it over and said that it could possibly have irreversible damage because the wrong fluid was installed. I got a hefty bill from Centraire and was still out of an AC. I called the company and explained to them what happened and they dropped the bill. I couldn't believe that kind of customer service. I told the owner that in the end, I was still out of an AC. He asked me to call when the weather was warm and he would come out personally to look at it, which he did. He then told me the compressor needed to be replaced and he would send a technician out at no charge. He said he couldn't prove what went wrong, and so he would take care of it. I was amazed at that kind of service and will definitely call them back and tell everyone about them. This is a company who is honest, reliable, and to be trusted. Thank you Centraire for restoring my faith in home services.

Their customer service is awful. I called on a very cold night when my furnace broke down. I have a warranty on the furnace and asked them to do their part for me to get reimbursed. In a bad manner they told me (many times) they needed me to pay and it's my problem to deal with the other company. Despite paying the premium for a rush service over the weekend, they came the following morning (which I agreed to when they called me later in the night to tell me they wouldn't make it). The technician was well intended and even called this warranty company. I had the Nest thermostat installed. He said he knew nothing about it (?) and, as a temporary fix, he replaced it with the old one. The furnace started working. I told him that I installed the Nest myself and had been working perfectly for over 6 months. He said I would get a call from the office to get it fixed and re-installed. That never happened. I received their invoice with an incorrect statement (it said that the Nest needed a power line that I had not installed, which can't be true because it had worked for over half a year. Remember that the technician admitted he knew nothing about this brand). This made it impossible for me to get paid by the warranty provider. I sent them an e-mail asking them to revise their diagnosis. They never responded. After a while, I received an e-mail from them asking for my payment. I responded explaining my bad experience with them. No response. About 10 days later, they contacted me again. I asked if they had received my previous e-mail. They said they did but they only cared for me paying, as I had received a service. I will never call them again and I hope you follow suit, unless you want a bad experience.

The tech came out to my house, fix the capacitor on my furnace to help increase the airflow on my second floor as it was not flowing upstairs as well as it should be. He then gave me multiple tips on how I can go about keeping the air flow moving throughout the house as well as some other useful tips. Great job guys!
