Story

At CENTRAL PET we treat your pets like family! Our passion for animals, combined with our extensive training and certifications, have helped us to create a home away from home for pets throughout southern Arizona. We opened our doors in 2007 with the goal of creating a safe and trustworthy haven for pets. (And peace of mind for pet parents.) Nearly ten years later we've not only succeeded, but excelled! Boarded my standard poodle here for 10 days.  My boy was safe and sound upon my return.  It wasn't cheap, but their caring staff made sure my dog was well taken care of.  I noticed there were a good number of staff at Central Pet.  It made me feel that my dog was well looked after.

I board my pupper with Central Pet when I'm out of town. He comes back happy and healthy, so no problems there. However, I've lost 2 Kong toys to them - once I did go back and got to pick one from their collection (it was in their records that I dropped him off with a Kong), the other time I didn't bother. Just a word of warning, don't bring any toys for your dog that you aren't prepared to lose.

My dog loves it here! We do daycare every time he stays here, so he gets to play with other dogs his size, and he gets super excited every time we pull into the parking lot. He pulls me into the building, and the staff all greets him enthusiastically by name. They seem to really love the animals in their care, and my little man seems to have a great time. I have done daycare during the day a few times, and have boarded my dog here several times.

My only complaint is that they are not open for pickup on Sunday, so you get to pay for Sunday night boarding even if you do not need it. Seems a little lame. Their solution is that you can pay a fee to have somebody there so that you can pick up your pet, but you still get to pay for Sunday night boarding regardless. Otherwise this would be a definite 5/5.

Central pet is the only place I would take my dogs. They are so accommodating and professional. The entire place is clean, open, and top-notch in terms of boarding. I worked as a kennel tech at an animal shelter for years, I would train other kennel techs who often had experience at boarding facilities,  the horror stories I would hear of OTHER places were terrible... cockroach infestations, 50 to 1 dog/staff ratios. The Staff coming from central pet only had great things to say... i can watch my dogs romp around at daycare,  although i can't see them sleep, i know the place is safe and secure. They can have high turnover of staff which is normal for kennel techs so sometimes there's someone who is confused about policies and etc, but overall I trust them with my two babies.... and that's saying A LOT.

We use the doggy daycare and boarding services and both are great! We take home tired dogs every time which is a good sign they had a busy, fun day!
