Century Cycles is an award-winning, locally-owned chain of independent bicycle stores in Medina, Peninsula, and Rocky River, providing all types of bicycles and friendly, expert service to northeast Ohio bicyclists and their families. Founded in 1992, Century Cycles is an authorized dealer of Giant, Jamis, Electra, Surly, and Haro bicycles, as well as Santana tandems. The Peninsula store also rents bicycles year-round for riding on the Towpath Trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. For nine consecutive years, Century Cycles has been voted one of the top 100 bicycle retailers in the United States by Bicycle Retailer & Industry News magazine. It was voted “Best Bike Shop” in the 2010 Cleveland Magazine Best of Cleveland reader’s poll.

Knowledgeable and very easy to work with. They rented me a fat bike to take on the South Rim trail. The trail is an absolute blast and Century made it happen. They went above and beyond to hook me up with a headlight--just in case it got a little dark. These guys are fun, fast, and generous.

We've purchased two bikes here in the past year.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable (shout out to Ed) and we've been very pleased with our experience and our purchases.

Came in a couple weeks ago, and they fixed the sprockets on my bike promptly and inexpensively. On top of that, one of the repairmen fixed the valve on my tire for free. However, I came in the next week and asked about the valve on my other wheel as it had the same problem. I asked if they would deflate it and realign the valve for free in return for doing business with them the previous week, but they did not agree to that. Firstly, the extra $5.00 for labor charges is no big issue to me, and by no means do I want to sound entitled, but, at the same time, it wouldn't have killed them to do such a thing. They weren't even willing to negotiate on the labor costs. Furthermore, most of the accessories in this store are way overpriced (Ex.: $25.00 for a flimsy rear-view mirror). I can easily find most of their accessories online for half the price at the same quality. I'd like to give a better review, but there are same blatant inadequacies with this business.

I was delighted with the work Rich at Century Cycle did on my bike.  About a year ago, he worked on the shifting and it performs better than when it was new.  Today, he put new handlebar tape and added new brake levers to the bike - and it looks and performs great.  I highly recommend their services for anyone who has bike issues.  Thanks Rich!

Pro tip for Chris in sales, when people come in and are ready to spend $500 on a new bike, don't tell them that it's too busy and to come back on a quieter day to test ride. Sales 101, never tell a customer to leave and come back.
