Story

Our Batters are made from scratch and all are carefully prepared and blended by hand, using only the finest ingredients. We make homemade jams, compotes, and syrups to further enhance our delicious pancakes and waffles.

Pot roasts with carrots and onion and Tom turkeys are roasted daily. We use only fresh potatoes for our mashed, baked, or hash browns, never frozen or dehydrated. Homemade soups, gravies, and sauces are prepared fresh daily. Nothing can replace the fresh product for food value or taste. We feature seasonally fresh wild Pacific fish and Oregon oysters. We serve the finest Willamette Valley fruits and vegetables available.

Love these guys most of the time. Only downside was we were greeted and taken to our table by one really nice waitress, and then the gal that took our orders was very curt. Not so much rude but just not polite as the greeter had been. Food is always good but not as enjoyable whenever the service isn't 100% there.

Fast friendly service. The food was excellent. I ordered the Spanish omelet and it was huge and delicious. The hash browns were fresh, crispy and abundant. The blueberry coffee cake was light, warm and sweet with the perfect crumble to the crust, and did I mention how big the slice was!?  It dwarfed the plate. I imagine that anything you choose off their menu would be be equally satisfying.

Food is great and so was the service.  The pies were great, best egg custard pie next to my late grandmother's and my wife pies. Take your sweet tooth when you go.

When we visit Newport from our home in Lincoln City, we often stop for lunch or dinner, here. The food is surprising good for something you originally think might be the equivalent of a Shari's. Their prices are decent, the portions are large, and we have yet to find something on the menu that we don't like. My own favorite dinner is turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy with cranberry sauce, since I could eat a Thanksgiving meal at least once a week given the opportunity. 

This restaurant serves typical American fare in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, and breakfast is served all day. All of the servers are efficient. Most of them are friendly and helpful, too.  If American cuisine is what you're craving, this is the place to go in Newport!
