We were looking forward to a nice dinner and my filet was a disappointment.  Asking for it to be cooked medium, it came out more than done, not any pink whatsoever.  The replacement was only slightly better.  My husband enjoyed his salmon and the vegetables were nicely seasoned.  The cherry bread pudding was also lackluster.  The waitress did all she could to make it better by discounting the meal and not charging for the dessert.  The atmosphere is pleasant, my only suggestion is to not order a steak.

My husband and I ate dinner there last night and I am completely disappointed.  We started with escargot. They were dried out and rubbery.  All meat entrees are listed as "market price" on the menu, and I should have asked the price before ordering, but I have ordered lamb chops my favorite lots of places and they were  never more than $50 anywhere. Apparently they were $63 and weren't even lamb chops!!! They were sirloin chops 2 of them. Complete rip off!! The side salad was very lackluster as...little bit of iceberg lettuce with fatty bacon bits, dressing and a couple pieces of canned tomatoes on top. My husband had the filet and ordered it medium. It was overcook to medium well. The menus were dirty with crumbs and other debris on the inside. High price for NOTHING special.

Great hostess getting us a table. Food was very good but took nearly 45 mins in which we were never offered more water or asked if we needed drinks. Finally after asking for a soda the 3rd time, it was brought when I was 90% done with my meal. Good food, won't return.Food: 4/5

Great little place we found by accident. Seems to be a place frequented by locals, so you know it's good . Prices are really good for how much you get. I had the 14oz NY strip so good!Food: 5/5

Amazing dining experience! Delicious food, great service, great layout! I sat by the bar, and the setup will make you feel like royalty!  I had the New York strip, definitely recommend it!

I had the salmon which was fantastic.  My wife had the filet that was awesome.  The salads with the chopped tomatoes and other fixings were OMG good.  Shrimp chowder was amazing. Also had a stuffed potato.  Service is top notch.  Would recommend for special accasion or evening getawayFood: 5/5

Richard and I were heading home to Michigan from Florida and stayed overnight in Beckley.  We decided to try something local rather than the many chain restaurants in the area and it was a good decision.  It was clear from the moment we stepped through the door that this was a locally owned and loved establishment, with staff taking pride in their work. We were warmly greeted at the door, by the busboy and finally our waitress Theresa.   It actually felt like I was back in the 60's during the steak house heyday.  The place seemed to be filled with local folk, out for a special night--there were several large birthday celebrations going on around us.  Our server Theresa warmly greeted us and immediately tried to get to know us a little bit.  Other patrons waved to her as they left, and I learned she had been a server there for 20 years!  It was clear she treated her work there as a career and was very professional.  She knew everything about the menu, the wines and confidently made recommendations based on our tastes.  What a refreshing change from the chain restaurant atmosphere!  I had Steak Diane which was a special that night and absolutely delicious.  Richard had the filet which was equally good.  The house salad was excellent and dinner was served with yummy garlic bread.  The décor and atmosphere were delightful, elegant but not stuffy.  Wine selection was very good too.  I can't speak about the dessert menu, as we were too full from dinner, but it also looked great.  If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place!  i hope it sticks around for another 50 years!

Best steak house in WV.  Not a franchise.  Been there several times and have always had a great experience.  Going back today hopefully everything tastes as good as it used to.  Parking: Valet

Exclusive gracious dining. The best restaurant in Beckley. Servers are professional at a beautiful location with a solid menu of 5 star food.

Absolutely blown away by the meal I had at this restaurant. My steak ranked right up with the best steaks I have tried from restaurants in big cities. We also tried the escargot and enjoyed every bite of it. This restaurant is a must try if you are in the Beckley area.
