Stopped by while traveling. I would give it a zero if I could. Food was very expensive. Habachi had no flavor. Was told 20 mins wait. Ended up waiting 40 mins. Sushi was definitely not fresh. The shrimp was already smelling bad. Suppose to get salad & soup. Got 2 soups. Definitely overhyped.
The pics you see are the sushi dinosaur egg and the flaming drink. Both delish. Not a long wait time, food was yummy and service was nice!

It was fine! I wouldn't order what we got again, a bit pricey for the portions, and I've certainly much better flavors than the noodle dish provided. It's still worth a try, I suppose.
Very good food, large portions and very attentive service. Only complaint was appetizer came out with main meal.
Was in Beckley for a couple of days visiting the New River Gorge National Park, and tried this place for dinner on one of those days... Was not too busy, were seated almost immediately and attended to... We tried the Kani - Crab Stick Sushi, Crab Cheese Wontons, Shrimp Shumai, Chicken and Shrimp Yaki Udon, Shrimp Shumai, Hibachi Steak Dinner... Service was excellent, fast and food was fresh and delicious... Great place to dine in... Highly recommended...!
Came here for lunch on a Saturday and ordered shrimp hibachi and chicken udon noodle soup. The hibachi came with a small salad that really didn't have much beyond iceberg lettuce. The onion soup had very subtle flavor, not bad but not nearly as flavorful as miso soup would have been. The hibachi was OK but the shrimp was a little over done. The udon texture was good but the soup tastes too much like just soy sauce mixed with hot water. The food in general is OK, not great but the real problem is..... PRICE. These two dishes, with no drinks came to $38! With tip, well over $40. I can easily get these dishes of the same quality for half the price!
Server was nice and attentive to our needs. Chef was friendly and engaging. Salad and grilled veggies were fresh and fried rice was good. However. The chicken was chewy and lacked seasoning. The lack of seasoning made the chicken and steak taste very bland. The restaurant is dated and looks very old inside and is in dire need of an update. Walking through the restaurant, I noticed a bad smell...almost sewer odor. Sadly, nothing appealing enough to make me ever want to go back.
We always sit at the grill when coming here and it's always so good no matter what chef you get! On our last visit my son's birthday they made him feel so special and also brought him a dessert. My only complaint is the yum yum sauce isn't very good. Last time it was almost red looking and didn't taste right. The food is still great without it. Definitely recommend!
Came here exactly a year ago after my wedding and had such a beautiful time!!!! Chef Ricky Bobby is a national treasure. We won’t be able to spend our anniversary here this Tuesday 12/27 sadly we’ll be back in NYC. Great food, great energy, stellar service!!!! As a hospitality professional I truly enjoy seeing businesses go above and beyond. We are going to pop in tonight, hopefully chef is around.
