Charlotte County Public Works Department utilizes a skilled, engaged workforce to enhance the quality of life for Charlotte County residents.
The Public Works Department maintains roadways, traffic lights and signs, bridges, navigable public waterways and stormwater infrastructure in unincorporated areas of Charlotte County while protecting and preserving the environment. The Department further provides solid waste services including operation of the Landfill, manages the Mosquito and Aquatic Weed Control Programs, operates and maintains the Indian Spring and Lieutenant Carl Bailey Cemeteries, maintains historical cemeteries and manages landscaping projects throughout the County.
