We are dedicated to providing the safest environment and highest level of service possible in an effort to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Charlotte County. Today I forgot to turn off my security alarm when I left house. On duty officer responded quickly & checked with my daughter if everything was okay. Our sheriff officers are amazing. Thank you

good morning not so good here on conway just north of 41 our neighberhood has contacted the sheriffs dept repeatedly and you have responded however the speeding problem has increased  with summer here and our request for cruising our street we have also turned to the county commissioners office to request duck crossing signs or children at play signs better yet we now are at a very alarming rate of near to almost very serious accidents on our road, accidents with cars trucks ect.. killing the mascovie ducks at very high numbers in less then 20 days and nearly running down kids. we dont know how we can stop this but we are doing our best to use the tools we have as social media can be powerful we still continue with this very serious issue and would like to try to stop it before a chid is injured or worse i sincerely hope the word will be passed down to the authority who can please help us get signs on our block 394? block of conway  by the empty lot where the ducks live and the kids play. thank you for your time and efforts if we can accomplish this together as a community we are making huge strids to keep our kids and wildlife safe. thank you a very concern citizen.

Charlotte County PD saved my life.  People think the Police are bad... false. I haven't been able to thank the officer for all his help. That man deserves a medal of some sort! Thank you, Charlotte county and surrounding areas for your service!!! ❤️

My step father who suffers from bladder cancer was recently arrested for "exposure" for reliving himself in the bushes in Charlotte county. Nobody was around. My step father cannot control his bladder due to the bladder cancer. If he could control his bladder  he would not have stopped and had to do what he did. He wasn't exposing himself to anybody. He just simply had to go pee. After my mother finally found out where he was she called the Charlotte county jail to ask if they could let him know that she knew he was ok and they wouldn't tell him even tho, he has had five heart bypass surgeries and my mom was concerned about him having a heart attack from the stress of everything. I understand that he was just another inmate to them, but when they have an elderly person with absolutely NO criminal history and this person is not well health wise, exceptions should be made. He should never have been arrested in the first place. I have always had the utmost  respect for law enforcement but not this time. You guys completely screwed up and I have absolutely no respect for the Charlotte county sheriffs department. Here's to hoping nobody else's family member is treated like crap for no legit reason

Yikes! At someone's house without a warrant saying, 'you can't square up?' Here's an idea,  lay off the donuts and study some law.
