I would like to preface this that I don't blame the waitress for my sub par experience.  While the place was not packed, it was quite full.  There was a hostess and who I believe was the front manager. They were good at refilling water and coffee.  There was however only two waitresses for the entire dinning area to take orders, deliver food and close out tabs.  

So when my waffle came out missing butter, the wait was over 15, which meant my waffle was quite col by the time I got the butter.  The replacement waffle was great, once I got it.  But by them my mother had finished her meal.
 
For a Saturday early afternoon, I would expect a few more waitress.  I am willing to try again, perhaps an evening service.  Hopefully they will be better staffed.

Great food and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. BYOB, so no booze on the menu, and be ready for a rather high corkage fee if you do choose to bring wine. No free refills on soft drinks either, so be ready to pay extra for anything but water. Other than that, no complaints. Between myself and the friends I was dining with, we had chicken, waffles, catfish, and all of the sides. Everything was really good. Will definitely be back.

Let me just start by saying Wow! The ambiance of the restaurant is not only beautiful but sets the mood for your meal. Beautiful decor, music, and great table side manners. Tank the chef is a wondedful cook you can taste the soul in every bite of the food. Thank you!!

They have live music, and our band, The Joyce Renee Walker Band, Played there a couple of Fridays ago. A great time was had by all, the staff is very friendly the food is superb; the atmosphere was really down-to-earth. I enjoyed my stay as a musician and as a customer ... I'd recommend it highly!

I never imagined that I would like the combination of Chicken and Waffles!! After trying it out a few years ago....I'm HOOKED !!! This location always have a decent sized crowd on the weekends but the service is always fast and friendly.Each time I go I always get breakfast food , I hear the soul food is awesome as well.....one day I'll try it..but for now I give the breakfast food  5 stars. 
-coffee isn't the greatest but it's okay.
