The OG Chipotle. Where it all began! HQ now in Cali so this is kind of an empty legend at this point. Neat old sign and artwork inside but no room to sit down and eat.
We were excited to go to the original Chipotle. The sign is cool. Disappointed the inside is very small with very limited seating. Took our food down the street to a picnic table. Service was average. Food was good...fresh, warm, guac was green not brown.
OG chipotle. *there is no dining room here so be aware of that* looks like there was once outdoor seating but it isn’t there anymore. Really great food, one of the better chipotles I’ve been too.

Though it is the original Chipotle, it acts as if it is a new and unprepared establishment. They are CONSTANTLY out of main ingredients by 7 pm on a week night, and you cannot expect reasonable portion sizes on top of that. I have been to this Chipotle a good number of times and there has never. Even a time where they have had everything I wanted in my bowl, such a veggies, mild salsa, or even guacamole.
The service here has been very poor and it’s too bad considering it’s the original location. More than once I’ve walked into this location and stood in line for over 20-30 minutes while everyone watches them build and fulfill the online orders. Then when they finally start paying attention to the people in the restaurant waiting patiently the customer service is poor and the employees look miserable. I can’t blame them, seems they are under staffed and the restaurant is just too small to take on the amount of orders. Also, I love cilantro and this is the only location that refuses to throw some extra cilantro on top for me even when I offer to pay extra. I avoid this location like the plague and you should too
Takeout was quick with generous portions. Staff is friendly and efficient. The Evans location original, first Chipotle! is much better than other stores in the Denver area.Food: 5/5

I’ve heard a podcast by Steve Ells the founder of chipotle and this place has been on my bucket list since this. Must say, It was a exciting experience at the first original chipotle. Simple interior design, great service and food
This is the VERY FIRST Chipotle, the famous quick-casual restaurant, the one founded by the famous Steven Ells. It's tiny, with a sign that reads "Occupation: 17 customers." The building was previously a Dolly Madison Ice Cream Shop, where I bought cones for my little son in the early 1990’s. That Dolly Madison shop is immortalized in three black-and-white photos on the wall here. They’re fashioned in the style of Chipotle’s typical self-referencing b/w photos; I wonder how many customers actually note the difference. Chipotle has some detractors. All the great ones do! The Beatles had detractors. Charlie Chaplin had detractors. But Chipotle is the best of its kind, nonetheless. It’s the Elvis of fast-casual eateries. It's the "king of the hill, the top of the list, the head of the heap..." Yep, it's the king. My favorite is their hot red salsa. According to the company's website, the ingredients are tomatillo, chile de arbol, salt, cumin, garlic, black pepper, and a splash of Tabasco. But the great mystery is this: how are these simple ingredients combined into a delicious tangy mixture? I do have a complaint. The chips are sometimes stale by afternoon. Another complaint: they don’t offer breakfast burritos! Maybe someday... and if they do, they should start here, where it all began.
