Stopped in for lunch today and met the AGM Andrew. I was super impressed with the quick service and tasty food! He made me a margarita and jumped between the bar and the cash register- always appreciate a manager who can wear all the different hats in a store! And my food was super fresh, great work everyone in the kitchen!
Wow. I have waited many visits to find some quality of service and yet to have found it at this location over my last 10 visits. I do enjoy the food here but service needs some order.
Staff made me uncomfortable. I lived in Denver for 10 years and this Illegal Pete’s was always the best. When we traveled to Denver we had to stop at Pete’s- my husbands favorite restaurant. Our experience was not good. The staff was so rude, it felt like we were bothering them. Food was fine but I didn’t order well because I felt rushed. My food was handed off before I could really make a decision. I should’ve been more pushy but I just didn’t want to because the whole kitchen seemed on edge- passing around and frantic.
This place is the best! Get the fish burrito! You won’t regret it. The folks who work here are super nice, the place is clean and fun—good music and great atmosphere all around. They also have all the sports games going. The fact this place thrives next door to the original Chipotle says a lot. I love the food, the vibe, the service, and the fact IP's has found that sweet spot of having a successful business, serving good food at a reasonable price, and still paying and treating their workers fairly. I don't know how they do it, but they do. Good job, Pete!
SO happy that Illegal Pete's is doing breakfast, this place is always spot on- no matter what you order. I always consistently have exceptional service, I've been to several CO locations. My favorite thing is how they mix all the ingredients before rolling your burrito, so each bite has a mix of everything. It's the little things in life that matter!
The food never impressed me but the location/vibe is always prime. Do not get me wrong, I do believe the food is really good, especially for the price. However, the establishment is always busy so it could take up to 30 mins for one person to get through the line and get some food. But, their happy hours deals are unmatched with great tasting $5 margaritas. The horchata is always great. Not only that, there is ample outdoor and indoor seating. Also, the staff is great as well.
Do not understand the reviews. This is not a place for breakfast! Mediocre food, sour bottle orange juice, and get this...no coffee. It's fast food, I get that, but still pretty disappointed.
Stopped here for late breakfast before Avs game and loved the breakfast burritos and kids scarfed theirs down too! Have been also in evenings and food is awesome and staff always great!
I can't believe people pay for this stuff or want to eat here. Over priced and heat is the only flavor on this so called food.
