I have been going to Chopper's and had Justine as a hair stylist for quite a while now. My initial appointments were fantastic. The atmosphere was great and Justine helped me transition my hair from dark to light in a way that was healthy to avoid hair damage. Justine also did an awesome job with my Brazilian blowout. I was always excited for my hair appointments and was loving the steps we were taking to get my hair to where I wanted it.
 
The last time, however, I got home and noticed that my hair was cut so poorly and I was in complete panic. I reached out to Justine right away and sent pictures. While I waited for a reply, I consulted with three other stylists who all agreed that this was the result of a poor cut. Justine replied and instead of taking ownership of it, stated that it was breakage. My colleague referred me to someone who specializes in haircuts and was able to get me in the same day. I did not feel comfortable with Justine fixing this as she refused to take ownership of it. The stylist I saw was shocked with how my hair looked but was able to help me hide what was done as I wait for it to grow out. Justine did refund me money for the cut which was much appreciated.
 
It has been a couple of weeks and I received a text from Justine saying that she was no longer comfortable having me as a client. This is completely unprofessional and extremely hurtful as she stated that I never loved my hair. Up until the last experience, I loved what we were doing with my hair. I can understand if she did not want me back as a client because of the last experience but this should have been professionally communicated to me by phone. Had Justine taken ownership of a mishap (they do happen and I am aware of that), I would have had no problem having her as my stylist. I have never heard of a stylist discontinuing service for a client because of their evident mistake. If you want to see a stylist that you trust and can be honest with, I do not recommend going to Chopper's/Justine.

Amazing place! I have gotten my hair cut and colored by Kelly for years and it always turns out wonderful. This salon has amazing customer service and AFFORDABLE prices. Choppers is the best and I definitely recommend!

Erica is an amazing colorist and cutter. And a wonderful person too. Great atmosphere. No Scottsdale attitude, just a relaxed vibe and great service.

Beautiful place great atmosphere and pleasant experience, my hair stylist had over 15 years experience on her belt witch to me is a big plus and best of all I finally got the hair cut and style that I was hoping for :)
