The cake is great and so is the service! I stumbled into this place as I was searching for dinner and was greeted by the friendliest old man! What a great person! Tried the cake first and it was excellent. Had the lamb shank and it was tasty. Would rather to have stayed to eat but I had to get back to the hotel. I would say this is family friendly too! Grab some bottled water while there! Good price better than a convenience store!
The food was incredible but the service was what made our visit so enjoyable. The homemade wine was delicious and the food was so good that we decided to order a few meals to bring home. All of the dishes they offer are authentic and made to order. The Chef and waiter were both knowledgeable and attentive which ensured that we had a great meal. I will definitely add another stop to Christos during my next trip to Pittsburgh. Vegetarian options: They have an entire page of vegetarian options.
The gyro platter was great. The meat, salad, rice, pita, and tzatziki go really well together. Also had the hummus which was good, and the chicken lemon soup which I didn't like very much.

Absolutely amazing food! Stopped by to pick up our order and the restaurant has such a great atmosphere will definitely have to eat in next time. The owner was very sweet and told me they had been there for 52 years! He encouraged me to try a cake that was wonderful! Everything was so fresh and tasty. Will be a regular from now one - best Mediterranean I've had in Pittsburgh. So glad I found this little gem!
Beautiful place, Amazing Food! The baklava sundae was very good. As well as the lamb and the chicken kabab. The jackie-onassios was very delicious. All around a amazing place 10/10 service was great Cristos makes sure your well fed
Christos is my favorite restaurant to visit downtown. It is the first time we've been back since the pandemic and everything was better than before. Christos is so welcoming! We had hummus, lemon potatoes, my husband had a beef dish, my mom had pastichio and I had the stuffed peppers. The food we had was fantastic, everything was fresh and of course we couldn't leave without the Jackie O cake. My daughter is a bit of a fussy eater but she was chowing down on the buttered noodles we ordered for her. I had to try them for myself. Not sure what was on the but they were great! We will definitely come back!
Having lived downtown for a couple of years, I got used to being disappointed with most "authentic" food options near me. There's good places, but they are few and far between. I ordered pickup at this place on a whim, and wow, this food is incredibly well made. There's subtle flavors here that can pretty much only result from family recipes being perfected for decades. I got a vegetarian pasta and stuffed peppers with rice as well as a split pea soup, and everything was excellent - every bite, honestly. This place has been in business for 50 years, and it shows. Amazingly delicious. Highly recommended.
I felt like a guest in the home of my long lost relatives from Greece! I felt as if I was in Christos’ home in Greece instead of just some Resturaunt in Pittsburgh. The food was delicious, served in a humble and simple setting with love and care. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. It’s not a fancy place with overdone presentations on expensive dinnerware meant to impress. The portions were ideally sized. Not too much as to cause waste which is likely intentional so as to keep the prices low. I ate absolutely everything on my plate and didn’t leave hungry. Thank you Christos.
Everything about this place is amazing. Great vibes, food, and service!! The owner is so sweet. I got a chicken kebab with rice pilaf and green beans, salad, parsley potatoes, and of course the cake. Will be back soon!Food: 5/5
