This is a very clean, modern pupusaria with excellent food.  They have more choices for pupusas than any other restaurant I've been to.  I don't know how they do it but the food is prepared in a fraction of the time of similar restaurants.  Four of us ate here today and City Cafe gets four big thumbs up!

Pupusas are pususas. These certainly weren't the best I've ever had, but they were good. In Washington, beggars can't be choosers, and when you get a pupusa craving, you must indulge. My biggest complaint is that the staff was pretty awkward, and it wasn't due to any linguistic or cultural barrier - my Spanish is better than my English. They were just awkward. Still, this place has pupusas. That says enough right there.

The atmosphere is open, inviting, and delicious. Think of pupusas as a hot pocket only with flavor, a filling texture and it never leaves you feeling gross. Salsas and condiments come packed in plastic baggies (reminds me of my mom's homeland and it's great) and the serving size is great at under $3. I order over the phone and 15 min later I'm super happy. The service addentand is always very kind and patient with repeating the menu to me, even though I ask every time.

Was "Hangry" and needed food now but did not want fast food. Cought the Cafe sign out the side and slammed on the brakes. Went in and found a nice little clean cafe with a simple yet wide range of international options. Kept it simple with a breakfast burrito and a mocha. Very satifying and delishish! Staff personable and professional. Nice find!

Perfect smoothies and pupusas. Reasonably priced, clean restaurant, friendly staff. Can't ask for more!
