Story

Claiborne Refrigeration Co., Inc. was established in Clovis, NM as Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning dealer in 1954 by original owner, Jim Claiborne. In 1974, the business was sold with one employee to Mr. Weldon O. King, and wife Wilda N. King. The business has grown and is currently owned by 2nd generation King family daughters. We have 3rd generation family members employed as well. Claiborne Refrigeration currently employs a team of 24 very dedicated and competent tradesmen, technicians, managers, and administrative employees, some of which have been with the company for over 30 years.

We perform preventive maintenance and repair on all brands of heating and air conditioning equipment, commercial refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment including ice machines, steamers, fryers, ovens, coffee and tea equipment.

When your equipment is in need of replacement, we sell and install Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning equipment, both in a commercial and residential setting.

We have also added Duct Cleaning to our list of services also.

We have a 6500 sq. foot shop which includes a sheet metal department where we fabricate our own metal ductwork and plenums, and design duct systems for proper air flow per air conditioning requirements.

We stand out in the community as being the "Go To" company to properly install air conditioning systems and to correct systems that have been installed properly. Air flow is a science dealing the CFM and static pressures. There are a lot companies that don't understand that science, and therefore fail to size the ductwork properly, creating hot and cold spots in your home and damaging your heating and air conditioning equipment. We install zoning systems as well to get the air where you need it, when you need it, when heat gain/loss is an issue.

We stay on top of cutting edge technology. We now offer systems with Wi-Fi thermostats that not only allow you to control your thermostat from your smart phone or computer, but gives you the ability to receive system updates and alert you when there is a problem with your system before you come home to an uncomfortable house late at night.

We are your comfort specialists! Our company was awarded with the 60 year Loyal Association award with Carrier Air Conditioning through it's regional distributor, and has been awarded many awards year after year including Carrier Dealer of the Year, Growth Leadership, Sales Leadership, Infinity Sales awards, and CNJ Best of Clovis for 11+ years.

We are Manitowoc Ice Machine dealer and Service Representative and hold various Service Representative titles for other manufactures of commercial kitchen equipment.

We sell A.O. Smith Water Heaters and are also their local Service Representative for both commercial and residential water heaters.

We have a full service Plumbing Department offering residential and commercial plumbing repairs from faucet and fixture replacements, bathroom remodels, to replacing sewer lines, gas lines, and water lines. We do whole house re-pipes and handle and handle sewer stoppages as well.
