Would not take a return from another home hardware saying they are independent stores and do not take returns fron other stores.  Home hardware website says they will take returns from any store.  You be the judge, shady employee or owner.

Best local hardware store ever. The management is very helpful and has a great memory of customers needs and pass purchases. A great selected stock of items for the typical neighborhood problem. If you're unsure that they will stock that item that you're looking for, I would recommend calling in first, they are very helpful on the phone as well.

I love this Home Hardware and would shop here any day over a large box store. I love that when I walk in, they say automatically 'is there something I can help you with?"  It's the last of the personal touch stores! You can also order anything from them. Exceptional service.

This is the worst customer service that I have experienced in recent memory!  The short stocky lady who seems to be the one in charge is rude and possibly racist.  I visited the store twice and on both occasions, she treated me with disdain at first glance and was then very rude from then on. She treated every one else differently right in front of me. I would rather go to classy, decent stores like Canadian Tire,  Rona or Home Depot. Really, her attitude (she seems to be an immigrant as well!!!) was shocking to say the least!  Give this store a wide berth as long as she is working there!  The only reason the store gets 1 star is so that I can post my feedback
