Classic Art Gallery was created from a vision by the owners, Jovan and Sanya Micovic in 1992 at Carmel by the Sea, California. Having over 50 years of combined experience, our European heritage, knowledge and appreciation for fine art we have cultivated one of the most complete and valuable collections of original fine art in the country.
For the past 20 years our emphases is on traditional oil paintings and sculptures, along with 19th and early 20th century European Masterpieces making our galleries a destination for discerning collectors worldwide. From the inception, Classic Art Gallery became a leader in the market known for exceptional quality and value.
As the gallery’s success and reputation flourished throughout the 90's many established artists sought representation from Classic Art Gallery. Our gallery now represents over 60 internationally recognized artists as we expanded in 2002 to birth a second gallery on Ocean Avenue. Having two great locations in Carmel's famed art district we dedicated a separate space for exclusively exhibiting our Masterpiece Collections allowing serious collectors to enjoy complete privacy.
In 2010 we ventured out to a new market in Southern California. In December 2010 our beautiful gallery on El Paseo, Palm Desert, opened its doors. This was a venue for us to continue representing fine traditional art and yet introduce high quality modern and decorative art.
Now with three beautiful locations, Classic Art Gallery exhibits one of the most comprehensive collections of fine art ranging from very collectible European Maters and famous deceased American artists to well-known contemporary artists as well as young talent entering the market. The wealth of medium is displayed in an elegant atmosphere for the viewer's true art enjoyment.
