We stopped here because the state park was closed. The manager was very friendly and even gave our daughter a bar of locally made soap from the general store. The creek is very beautiful and it's a great place to go fishing, boating, or birdwatching. The reason for 3 stars is that the restrooms and showers are not so great. Also the lights are very bright at night. So maybe this would be fine for someone traveling in an RV, but not so great for tent campers like us.

This is a wonderful place to camp. I wish we could have spent more than one night here! Lisa is very friendly and welcoming! Everything was clean and tidy. Situated right on a large creek with campsites right on the water and docks to walk out on. I hope we can go back again soon!

Shady Acres is an older RV Park that is re-inventing itself. At the present time they can comfortably accomodate rigs up 35 feet. Plans for expansion are coming together. Located right on the creek, opportunities for fishing and boating abound. This is a gem in the making

This is a great down to earth campground, family owned for decades. On the water, canoes, fishing right off the dock, small general store, pool, showers. Owner is in process of updating park and hosting vintage trailer rallies. Lisa, the owner is always present to meet your needs.

What a wonderful stay we had at Shady Acres. Both Lisa and Chris were incredibly accommodating and kind! They even helped to suggest the best routes for our trip there and places to visit in the area! Super dog-friendly! Our needs and expectations were met and exceeded! And what could be better that creekside camping and hosts that make you feel at home? And the drive around Clear Lake was so beautiful. All campgrounds and RV parks should operate like this one!!
