I took three filled bags of clothing to this Clothes Mentor in Roseville. All of the items were in good to brand new condition and were purchased within the last year. 

When I returned to pick up my items, four things were picked that they'd like to buy from me. One was an Under Armour quarter zip, a Land's End quarter zip, a light/fuzzy North Face jacket and a Nike t-shirt.

They offered me $11 for those four items!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I then proceed to ask, well what is the percentage of the sale and the lady says, "Well it went down recently from 30% to 25%."

Okay, let's do some math here... 

$11 for four items is $2.75 per item. So, you're telling me you're going to sell an almost new Under Armour, Land's End, North Face and Nike items for $11 each? YEAH DOUBT THAT!!! I saw similar items going for $15 to $35 and you're telling me 25% of those four item's profit will be $2.75. THAT'S TOTAL BULL.

I said absolutely not, I'd rather donate my clothes then give it to your greedy hand. Thanks, but no thanks.

I love Clothes Mentor! The owner is so nice as is the managers and retail personnel. I always find treasures when I shop there. So much fun!

Brought a bunch of stuff here and they said they couldn't take it because it was Junior's, not Women's. I then went to a Junior's resale store and they said I should try Clothes Mentor because my stuff was Women's, not Junior's. I had some nice pieces and am surprised they didn't want any of it.

I really like some of the finds in this store but have been put off by a few things.  Strike 1 is the lack of customer service. You may be greeted depending on the day... and a “Thank You for shopping with us” is always a welcome gesture however seldom said. Strike 2 is items are a little pricey for “second-hand” and often have stains/dirt/holes on items. Stike 3: reverts back to 1 & 2, therefore I can spend $ with a more pleasant staff elsewhere on new items.

I'm updating my wardrobe and want to buy quality clothing for my corporate job. I went to Clothes Mentor in Roseville, and had a great experience. I found all the brands I was hoping to buy - J. Crew, Banana Republic, White House Black Market, Charter Club. I ended up getting two pairs of REALLY nice pants for $36 dollars total. There was one Banana Republic pair that was beautiful and still had the tags on but it was dry clean only so I had to pass. This is a great place to get new/gently used brand name clothing on a budget. Can't wait to see what the other stores have.
