This is one of those places we have been by many, many times and we always say we are going to stop. We finally did and it was fun! They have an outdoor area with life-like dinosaurs that make noise. It sounds like Jurassic Park out there! There are a few buildings to go in that house large tortoises, alligators and other reptiles. The highlight was the bird house that had a hundred or so parakeets. You can buy a popsicle stick coated with birdseed to feed the birds. Since the birds aren't caged, they land on the stick or your hand to eat the seeds. The kids loved it!

Been visiting for years.Wonderful treasure for the area. The Komodo Dragons are a favorite. Geared to education. Make sure to take the time for the presentations, which are both informative and entertaining.

I've passed Reptileland several times now driving down Rt 15 headed south. Always wanted to stop, but never have. Recently decided to stop and it was well worth it. While it wasn't enormous like a usual zoo, It was a nice 2 hour break from driving and the exhibits they had were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of reptiles they had on display, especially the Komodo Dragons. The parakeet room was very cool as well, and the staff was extremely friendly. Reptileland was only supposed to be a quick stretch break for me, but it actually ended up being one of my favorite parts of the entire road trip.

Fantastic place. All the zookeepers were friendly and knowledgeable. Being a smaller facility is a *bonus* in that it gives the patron the opportunity to ask questions and grants the zookeepers the time to answer them appropriately. In a large zoo, that's typically not the case. Feeding the birds was a fun experience, while feeding and interacting with the tortoises was something else entirely. Where else could you go to pet a fifty year old tortoise?
