We moved to this area almost 3 years ago and it took us over 2 years to find a shoe repair shop which did quality work. Most other places we tried in Northern VA seem to farm the work out and use substandard materials which do not last...not to mention that these places did not even buff up the shoes when brought in for re-heel or sole. Cobblers bench is not inexpensive, but you definitely get quality work done which is well worth what they charge. We will not bring our shoes anyplace else.

This place is way too expensive!  They wanted to charge $100 to put half soles on a pair of men's shoes and new heels on a pair of pumps.  

Their prices aren't listed, and their hours don't correspond to those on their website.  If you're not concerned with value or convenience, though, it's the place for you.  These people do good work.  

In short, if you want to pay through the nose, show up to a closed shop, return to be told your shoes aren't ready, then go back a third time, you'll have a nice pair of shoes waiting for you.
